The Project Partners

Additive|Drives GmbH was founded in the first quarter of 2020. The vision of the company is to significantly simplify the manufacturing process of electrical machines and to increase performance by using 3D printing technology. At the time of application, the workforce includes 16 full-time employees and six student employees. The business is based on the development and manufacture of copper windings, which are produced by a proprietary 3D printing process. Other core competencies include electrical insulation technology and the design of electrical machines for the highest torque densities. In the first full fiscal year 2021, seven-digit sales will be achieved. To finance 3D laser melting systems, €1.3 million in venture capital was raised in the fall of 2020.
